The City of San Carlos celebrates its 38th Annual Hometown Days this weekend, with the theme “This Hometown Was Made For You and Me”. This community celebration offers fun for the whole family, with food, art, shopping, live entertainment, and much more. The event kicks off at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, as the Hometown Days Parade starts at Central Middle School on Cedar Street. Afterwards, Burton Park will host a Fun Run put on by the Rotary Club, a Sausage Supper courtesy of the Kiwanis, and a Pet Parade. Attendees can use Caltrain to travel to the San Carlos Station, putting them on a short walk from the parade grounds and the park. Additionally, SamTrans also provides service from around the Peninsula, including the KX, 295, and 397, which connect with the San Mateo & Hillsdale Caltrain Stations as well as the Millbrae, Redwood City, and Palo Alto Transit Centers.
