On Thursday, a 60-foot articulated Muni bus en route to San Francisco stopped by our North Base Operations yard so we could take a look. Our mechanics climbed into the engine, our accessibility people tried out the ramps and features, our operators crawled behind the wheel and our social media team crawled all over and took photos. In a quick conversation with Bernardo Hernandez, a few things that stood out were the disc brakes, lots of vent windows, a third door and the operator controls. Richard Lesser also was impressed with the modern accessibility features.
