SamTrans Summer Service Update

The school year is over and summertime is here with changes for students and SamTrans. Starting June 16, the summer service update will be in effect which means school-oriented routes will be paused throughout June, July and August. Minor schedule adjustments will also be made to routes 110, 117, 260, and 294 to improve on-time performance.

Parents can purchase a Summer Youth Pass (SYP) for kids 18 years and younger for $40 and is good for unlimited rides on any SamTrans route from June 1 through August 31. Parents save $41 compared to buying three separate youth monthly passes for June, July and August. Students that qualified for the Youth Unlimited Pass during the school year can continue to use their pass throughout the summer.

The SamTrans Mobile app is an easy way to purchase and use your SYP. Passes can also be bought online at SamTrans.com/SYP or in person by visiting SamTrans headquarters at 1250 San Carlos Ave., San Carlos, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The SYP will not be available on the Clipper card. Go to www.samtrans.com to plan a fun excursion to your favorite destination.
