SamTrans will be offering several additional opportunities for the public to learn about the Dumbarton Corridor Study report and provide feedback that will help inform its final adoption later this year. The draft report was released on August 15 and comments are being collected for consideration until September 29.
The study contains draft recommendations that would address traffic congestion and create new mobility alternatives along the Dumbarton Corridor between Alameda County and San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. The primary focus of the recommendations is the improvement of mobility options along the Dumbarton transportation corridor through restoration of the Dumbarton Rail Bridge to support trains that could eventually be interlined with Caltrain, ACE and Capitol Corridor, and improvements to Highway 84 that will allow for increased bus service.
