SamTrans will be hosting several meetings for the US-101 Express Bus Feasibility Study. The study will explore the possibility of new express bus service on the US-101 freeway in San Mateo County to San Francisco and Santa Clara counties, potentially running in managed lanes for buses and high-occupancy vehicles. Express bus service can provide faster transit service to key destinations than traditional local bus services by making fewer intermediate stops.
Community Meetings:
SamTrans will hold a variety of outreach events where implementation partners, stakeholders, and members of the public will be invited to engage in the planning process. The events will take place at the following locations and times:
- San Francisco (pop-up booth) – Sunday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday Streets Mission, Duboce to 26th Street on Valencia, San Francisco.
- San Carlos – Monday, July 17, at 6:30 p.m., Community Open House, SamTrans Headquarters, 1250 San Carlos Avenue, San Carlos.
- San Jose (pop-up booth) – Saturday, August 5, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., San Jose Flea Market, 1590 Berryessa Road, San Jose.
