Kennedy and members of the National Council of Senior Citizens designated May as Older Americans Month for the purposes of honoring the contribution of past and present seniors.
In commemoration, the SamTrans Board of Directors adopted a proclamation designating May as “Older Americans Month” during its monthly board meeting today.
