SamTrans Recognizes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month
The San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans) Board of Directors passed a resolution honoring Pride Month at its June meeting.
SamTrans cherishes the value and dignity of every person and appreciates the importance of equality, freedom, and acceptance. SamTrans stands with all communities and embraces the diversity of all people.
Pride Month is a time to reflect and appreciate the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) people and communities to reaffirm its commitment to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion. SamTrans will continue to support efforts to ensure that all people are treated equitable and equal on its bus system.
SamTrans recognizes the resilience and determination of LGBTQ+ people who are fighting to live freely and authentically and rededicates the Transit District to its mission of providing mobility programs in a manner that upholds the dignity of all people.
