Don't be haunted by traffic and parking goblins. Ride SamTrans and travel in good spirits to the 52nd Annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival this weekend, Oct. 19 and 20. Large crowds are expected for this popular Coastside event, which features the world’s biggest gourds, fantastical pumpkin carvings and live entertainment, so public transportation is recommended.

SamTrans Routes 117 and 294 drop off and pick up hourly just a couple blocks from the festival. Route 117 picks up and drops off passengers at the Linda Mar Park and Ride in Pacifica. Route 294 runs along CA-92 serving passengers between Hillsdale in San Mateo and Downtown Half Moon Bay. For residents traveling on Caltrain, Route 294 is a short walk from the Hillsdale Caltrain Station.

SamTrans also provides service via Ride Plus, the on-demand option for riders offering easy, affordable transportation for riders in Half Moon Bay. Simply download the app or call (650) 238-5880 to book your ride between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Because of the heavy crowds, passengers should expect delays during the weekend. Traffic will be congested, but passengers on SamTrans can relax and enjoy an air-conditioned ride instead of dealing with the headache of driving and parking.

To plan a trip, passengers can visit Home | SamTrans or call the Customer Service Center at 1-800-660-4287.
