Strategic Plan/Short Range Transit Plan
The 21st century will usher in many changes
in the Bay Area. The district will prepare for these challenges and
opportunities through a planning process that is both innovative and
responsive. The 2020 Strategic Plan and the 10-Year Short Range Transit
Plan are the tools that will make this happen. The Strategic Plan will
represent the district’s vision for the next 20 years, providing
direction for future improvements to meet the needs of our customers. The
Short Range Transit Plan will describe these improvements in greater
detail.
The development of these two plans is an opportunity
for you to participate in a process that will create long-range strategies
for the district. Input and feedback will be actively sought while
preparing the plans. The district will also hold public meetings to
discuss and refine the plans before publishing a final document.
The district understands that future challenges will
require flexibility to meet the varied transportation needs of its users.
We also understand that future opportunities must be actively pursued. The
Strategic Plan and the Short Range Transit Plan are the first steps in
meeting these goals.
